Kuramae is one of Tokyo’s most famous cafe towns.
Once thriving as a rice warehouse and developing as a manufacturing district, Kuramae is now home to a growing number of unique cafes.
Many of the buildings have been converted from old houses and warehouses, and one of their charms is the opportunity to enjoy cafe time in an atmospheric space.
The cafes are scattered within walking distance, so you can easily enjoy cafe hopping while strolling around.
You can also venture a little further and drop into a cafe in the Asakusa area.
It’s my favorite place that I visit often myself.
